Just reading article on Mother and Father in the natal chart, but can you clarify for me the actual hours nocturnal and diurnal would signify.
What I mean is at what hour would 'night' begin / 'day' begin? Rolling Eyes

Youll need to do a little investigation on this one (but theres lots of resources) Diurnal = Sunrise to Sunset; Nocturnal = Sunset to Sunrise. Since that time changes every day of the year you'd need to look up your specific time if you are around the time of Sunrise or Sunset. Hope that helps!

Ah! so it is about actual rather than symbolic timing. (feeling very naieve here Embarassed )
Have found a site regarding sunrise/sunset times but it only goes back as far as 1987.
