Hello everybody
The Natal chart can be fun and everything, but it would help to be able to predict, with accuracy, when certain events happen. Now I may be completely wrong, and probably am , but here's what I do to predict events:
If for example, I want to predict when I'll be in the company of lots of woman, I first look at my natal chart.
I've got venus trine moon, and mercury (ruler of my 5th-romance-) also trine my moon. So I make note of this.
Then, I check my current progressions, and future progressions for these specific aspects. If for example, 2 years from now, my progressed mercury sextiles my natal moon (positive aspect) I'll take note and write down the day the aspect is exact.
When I'm through with this, I ususaly have a paper-full of dates.
So I then check my transits for those dates, and judge the charts for those transits. If I rate a date higher then 8 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being best), then I assume that day to have great potential.
Now, remember, I'm probably way off! Is this the proper way of forcasting important events? And what other systems do you use |

Actually what your doing is correct. Transits are only indicators, igniters of things to happen. If there is nothing else indicated in the chart, Transits are useless. But it seems you have the idea! _________________ http://antiquus.50webs.com/ |

Wow, and I though I was making stuff up, but I'm right 8)
But would the backup from progressions truely be necesary? Or does it simply need to exist in the natal chart and be activated by planets?
Also, would I use house rulers, or planets in the house to forcast events (such as useing the second cusp, or planets in the second for income). |

Hi Chaldean.....I found your post very interesting, but didn't quite get what you meant by above.

Ruby,
When I find a progressed date that supports my natal chart, I look at the progressions for that day. Useing the above example, if I'm looking for romance, and my natal chart has venus trine moon, I look for that in my progressions. When I see it, I note the date and check the transits for that day. Let's say the transits for that day show that transiting jupiter is in my 5th house, this is likely favorable for romance and such, so I give that day an 8 (maybe 7). Let's say another transit day shows transit mars in my 7th house, and transit saturn in my 5th. This day I would give a 3. And so on. (of course I look at more factors to 'rate' the chance)
Hope that explains it |
